Index To Industrial Steam Locomotive Names
This index gives for each name the maker/works number of locomotives that are known to have carried each name. The standard abbreviations are used. If this information is not known, an indication of the owner or date (eg /85, 1885) is given to assist with identification. If this is not clear, further information can be obtained on request from archives@industrial-loco.org.uk.
The index is initially intended to cover only locos used in the UK, but a few others will also be found.
